Cathryn Bell is a London-based composer and producer, whose work spans neoclassical piano, folk, ambient soundscapes and cinematic orchestral scores. Drawing on her background as a classically trained violist and multi-instrumentalist, she creates music that blends classical tradition with contemporary production.

Her self-produced album The Lemon Cake Society features highlights from her score for the short film of the same name. Influenced by her Irish heritage, Cathryn's music often draws on folk traditions and organic live instrumentation, with compositions beginning at the piano. She has performed on stage as an actor and musician, appearing with orchestras and theatre companies across the UK.

Originally training as an actor in London & the USA (Mountview, The New York Film Academy) uniquely shaped her approach to composing - collaborating closely with directors to craft scores that heighten emotional storytelling.

In 2024, she was selected for The Creative Technologies Project by The F-List and The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where she was mentored by Katie May, Head Engineer at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios
